Cesare Griffa (Turin, Italy, 1973), after studying architecture in Turin and London, develops and refines his experience through big scale architectural projects cooperating with Zaha Hadid Architects (London, Rome), Arata Isozaki & partners (Tokyo, Milan) and Studio Archa (Turin). Since 2005, he is working in his own professional studio in Turin. He is visiting professor of Urban and Architectonic Design at the Politecnico di Torino and he lectured across Europe, China, US on the themes of “digital architecture”. He is the author of the book “La Città Cibernetica” (Meltemi, 2008).
Since 2005, the studio (www.studiogriffa.net) is active in the field of architecture and design. The studio-work is framed on a creative approach based on data analysis and data sharing. Design processes are developed using advanced digital design technologies (software and hardware) and they always take in serious account human responsibility towards the planet, both socially and environmentally.
The studio also organizes and set-up design and architectural exhibitions and events, involving local communities and students groups in many collaborative projects.
