Officine Arduino and its Fablab Torino are joining the Master in Sustainable Architecture – Smart Building and Urban Innovation @ IED Torino to provide professional support to students on the development of Smart Building Components.
This collaboration aims to teach the students how to design and construct real scale working prototypes that, through their electronic nervous system (composed of sensors, control boards and actuators), are capable to map the variations of their surrounding environment, and to actively react engaging virtuous procedures. Examples of such prototypes include Sun Seekers to optimize energy production/consumption, Environment Data Collectors to create real time urban data mapping, Hydroponic Green Systems to optimize photosynthetic activity (CO2 absorption and pollution filtering) within the built environment, etc.
